Fire-Fighters have told us for decades that we must have smoke alarms and of course, they are right.  However, what most people don't know, is that there are two completely different types of smoke alarms - ionization and photoelectic.

Wherever you live in the world, if you have smoke alarms fitted in your home, whether they are hard-wired or battery, new or old, chances are they will be the ionization type.

The International Association of Fire Fighters recently warned about ionization smoke alarms and so has the Australasian Fire and Emergency Services Authoritys Council and the Fire Protection Association of Australia.  Tragically no one seems willing to warn the puiblic.

Will the smoke alarms in your home give you the warning you need in a life-threatening fire?

Watch the 'Smoke Alarm Recall' film on our Home page, examine The Evidence and discover the facts for yourself.

the thing actually works?”

David Isaac, Fire Industry Expert
“If the fire develops a long smouldering phase, that fills the house with smoke, it’s unlikely the smoke alarm will work.”

why aren’t they alerting the public?”
